The map shows the 'island' of undeveloped farmland between Hanford, Sideway and Trentham. The numbered scheme follows the order that the hedges were surveyed. Hedges were sub-divided where the character of the hedge changed significantly.

The large building to the north of the site is Sainsbury's distribution warehouse south of the A500. To the east lies the Trentham Lakes development and Stoke City's Britannia Stadium. The 'Prologis' site was prepared for building with planning permission granted for another 'big shed' in 2004. This coincided with the bulldozing of a hay field marked on the map. This means that a greenfield site was sacrificed as mitigation for a brownfield development! Couldn't happen now surely?  As of November 2011 the site remains empty aside from nature's activities. Due to the amount of time that has passed the planning application would now have to be resubmitted and a new ecological survey undertaken.
